Canesten Thrush Cream 2% relieves irritation of the vulva (vulvitis) which is caused by thrush (Candidiasis). It cannot treat any internal (vaginal) cause of the infection. This can also be used to treat your sexual partner's penis.
Adults and children: Apply thinly 2 or 3 times daily rubbing in gently. Treatment should be continued until symptoms of the infection disappear.
Clotrimazole 2%
You may experience a mild burning or irritation immediately after application. If this is intolerable, stop the treatment and tell your doctor.
Do not use in pregnancy without consulting a doctor. See your doctor as soon as possible and DO NOT use Canesten Thrush Cream if you have any of the following symptoms: irregular vaginal bleeding, abnormal vaginal bleeding, ulcers, blisters, sores or pain of the vagina, pain in passing urine, fever or chills, diarrhoea or a foul smelling discharge from the vagina. If you are unsure or it is the first time you have had the symptoms or are pregnant consult your doctor.
