Canesten Pessaries are for the treatment of vaginal thrush (candidiasis). Comes in tablet form to be inserted into the vagina at night. Used to reduce the redness, burning and swelling symtoms of thrush.
Adults: 1 tablet to be inserted into the vagina at night for six nights. Children: not to be used.
Vaginal tablet containing: Clotrimazole 100mg
Rarely Canesten pessaries may cause side effects similar to the symptoms of thrush. If the redness, burning or swelling get worse, stop using the pessaries and see your doctor as soon as possible.
See your doctor as soon as possible and DO NOT use the pessaries if you have any of the following symptoms: Irregular Vaginal Bleeding, Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding, Ulcers, Blisters, Sores or Pain of the Vagina, Pain in passing Urine, Fever or Chills, Diarrhoea. If you are unsure or it is the first time you have had the symptoms or are pregnant consult your doctor.
